KW Garment Sewist Guild Meeting & Social
The KW Garment Sewist Guild is in it’s early days – we just started the guild in Fall 2022. As a guild, we focus on garment sewing, since there are guilds for local quilters nearby, but all who consider themselves makers are invited! At our April meeting, we will be connecting local garment sewists to one another and to talk about Getting Started! Whether you're new to garment sewing, or just getting started on a new project, we'll share some tips and resources from local experts. There will be a short presentation, a discussion on guild business, and then a chance for future members to connect. You are encouraged to wear or bring a garment you have made to the meeting. If you like, you can share it during the “sew and tell” section of the meeting. We welcome members of all ages, genders, sizes, backgrounds, experience levels, and abilities and we expect all members to share this perspective and include everyone. All guild members are welcome to attend. (Become a member on Patreon!) Non-members/Guests are asked to bring $5 to the meeting to help cover the room booking fee, but this is optional. Meeting location: Kitchener Public Library - Central Branch Questions should be sent to kwgarmentsewistguild@gmail.com or find us on Instagram @kwgarmentsewistguild
