We use software called MemberMouse to run Digits & Threads – our membership plans, the shopping cart, managing access to our features, etc. – and we were quite chuffed when someone from the software company reached out to hear the story of what we’re doing. We were downright delighted to then be invited to speak with MemberMouse’s CEO, Eric Turnnessen, on his podcast.

From the start, we’ve been committed to talking honestly and frankly about the business of our online magazine, and the greater business of our publishing company, Nine Ten Publications. This podcast conversation is a deep-dive into everything from our editorial vision and how important it is to have one; to why we were committed to launching in the fall, specifically; to how pandemic restrictions affected our planning; to how we see the difference between traditional magazine subscriptions and our memberships.

Have a listen, and let us know if you have any questions or comments about the conversation! 🎧
