Studio Hours

Studio Hours are a virtual gathering for Digits & Threads Studio Members, held on the second Tuesday of each month. Each session focuses on a specific topic and involves some combination of informal learning, socializing, presentations from one or more of our magazine contributors, and Q&A. We try hard to balance information sharing and teaching with opportunities to spend quality time with fellow fibre and textile enthusiasts from around the world.

Join or upgrade your membership to forge new connections to Canadian craft and art, and to other members who love to create as much as you do.

Sessions featuring guest speakers are recorded and posted to the library of Studio Hours recordings, accessible to all Studio Members.

Past and planned Studio Hours topics include

  • Indigenous beadwork, featuring artist and Digits & Threads contributor Malinda Gray.
  • An overview of handspinning with spindles, featuring Michelle Boyd.
  • Natural dyeing.
  • Best practices for laundering handmade items.
